Nienkamper
Immersive and intuitive app for furniture shop that through 3D models and augmented reality (AR) technology the shopping experience will be easier.
Design Goal
The design goal of this app was to create an immersive and intuitive furniture shopping experience that empowers users to effortlessly visualize and customize luxury furniture pieces in their own spaces using 3D and augmented reality (AR) technology, and guiding through the purchase process with nienkämper designers. I wanted to enhance the confidence of users through the testing of furniture that suits their needs and the measures of their space, to carry out a successful purchase, elevate their design aspirations and facilitate the communication of designers.
Once the research was done, I developed a concept for the app layout. The target audience (30-45 years old) based in Toronto or surrounding areas who enjoy exploring innovative ways to enhance their home or office environments. Design enthusiasts and B2B businesses such as Hotels, building and agencies. I made 2 user personas and then I search for some competitive brand that use this kind of technology in their apps as: Ikea, Wayfair and Myty.
This design proposal will create an immersive and intuitive furniture shopping experience that empowers users to effortlessly visualize and customize luxury furniture pieces in their own spaces using 3D and (AR) technology, guiding customers through the purchase process with nienkämper designers. Also the app will enhance the confidence of users through the testing of furniture that suits their needs and the measures of their space, to carry out a successful purchase, elevate their design aspirations and facilitate the communication of designers.

After making some user testing and completing the idea and the design I created the app using Figma tools. The colour palette and the brand identity inspired me to create the app and get the images as references on how they will look in an app. The colour palette represents with the brand vision, the layouts are organized and well-structured, for me the app with a minimalistic looking and professional, aligned with the company's website. I consider the app user-friendly, and the interactivity and smooth animations make the app strongly consistent. The home page is easy to understand, the aesthetic and the images with some filters make the app look professional.
